Dina Boswank – Short
Dina Boswank wanders through practices of creative access to technology and its defining media cultures. Among her work and think stations we find Bangalore in India (www.jaaga.in and artist Ayisha Abraham), military training sites in Brandenburg, as well as the Dresden Zwinger. Right now, most of her wandering circles are around the yet unexplored book Construction for Destruction, comprising of collected letters written to and by G.D. Naidu during the 1940s. Combining sound and video tools, Dina reviews the collection together with media practitioners, artists, and theorists to follow the lines of deconstructing modernity in Indian discourse. The process of text production, book copying, skyping, reading out loud, and re-presenting is therefore in focus. Consequently her presentation during “How to show?” will bring into discussion different conceptions of technology, creativity, and infrastructure.
